California High School Basketball - Monta Vista held off by Saratoga

In Wednesday's league test, the Saratoga Falcons (Saratoga, CA) basketball squad got by the host Monta Vista Matadors (Cupertino, CA), by a score of 53-49.

Next, the Falcons encounter the Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA) in a Santa Clara Valley - El Camino test, on Friday, January 17. Saratoga will attempt to improve on its 8-5 season record. The Firebirds come into the test with a 7-6 record after their 87-60 league win over Santa Clara (Santa Clara, CA).

The Matadors (10-3) will now prepare for their test against Homestead (Cupertino, CA). The Mustangs come into the Santa Clara Valley - El Camino test with a 11-3 record. In their last test, Homestead held off Lynbrook (San Jose, CA), 59-52, in a league test.
