Oregon High School Basketball - North Eugene succumbs to Thurston

The Thurston Colts defeated the host North Eugene Highlanders basketball squad by a final score of 70-52 in Wednesday's league contest.

The Colts (11-3) will now prepare for their contest against Crater (Central Point, OR). The Comets go into the 5A Midwestern contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Crater topped Ashland (Ashland, OR), 60-49, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Highlanders battle the Ashland Grizzlies (Ashland, OR) in a 5A Midwestern contest, on Friday, January 17. North Eugene will attempt to better on its 8-6 season record. The Grizzlies go into the contest with a 7-7 record after their 60-49 league loss to Crater (Central Point, OR).
