The Vikings (11-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA). The Knights come into the non-league challenge with a 7-6 record. In their last challenge, Cave Spring prevailed over Hidden Valley (Roanoke, VA), 44-43, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Spartans encounter the Pulaski County Cougars (Dublin, VA) in a River Ridge challenge, on Friday, January 17. Salem will attempt to improve on its 8-2 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 4-10 record after their 56-50 league loss to Patrick Henry (Roanoke, VA).
