California High School Basketball - Pleasant Grove can't get by Sheldon

Sheldon Huskies (Sacramento, CA) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Pleasant Grove Eagles (Elk Grove, CA), 55-49 in a league match.

With the victory, Sheldon advances its record to 14-5 on the year. The Huskies host Franklin (Elk Grove, CA) to meet the Wildcats in a match on Friday, January 17. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 6-11. Franklin won 41-39 in their recent league match against Pleasant Grove (Elk Grove, CA)

The Eagles now own a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Elk Grove for a match on Friday, January 17. Pleasant Grove will meet a Thundering Herd squad coming off a 70-62 league win over Cosumnes Oaks (Elk Grove, CA). The Thundering Herd record now stands at 11-8.
