The Patriots come into the test with a 8-14 record after their 61-54 league loss to Kingwood (Kingwood, TX).

The Eagles (11-13) will now prepare for their test against Summer Creek (Houston, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 6A Region III District 23 test with a 19-10 record. In their last test, Summer Creek overcame Channelview (Channelview, TX), 77-16, in a league test.
