Ohio High School Basketball - Steele overwhelmed by Avon

January 15, 2025: Amherst, OH 44001

In Wednesday's league test, the Avon Eagles (Avon, OH) basketball squad trounced the host Steele Comets (Amherst, OH), by a score of 49-27.

Next, the Eagles clash with the Avon Lake Shoremen (Avon Lake, OH) in a Southwestern test, on Saturday, January 18. Avon will attempt to improve on its 13-2 season record. The Shoremen come into the test with a 10-3 record after their 70-52 non-league loss to Brush (Lyndhurst, OH).

The Comets (2-11) will now prepare for their test against North Ridgeville (North Ridgeville, OH). The Rangers come into the Southwestern test with a 6-8 record. In their last test, North Ridgeville was routed by Elyria Catholic (Elyria, OH), 48-34, in a non-league test.
