In Wednesday's league test, the Carver Yellowjackets (Winston-Salem, NC) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Bethany Community Wolves (Summerfield, NC), by a score of 42-29.
Next, the Yellowjackets encounter the Bishop McGuinness Villains (Kernersville, NC) in a 1A Northwest Piedmont test, on Friday, January 17. Carver will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The Villains come into the test with a 10-0 record after their 71-8 league win over Leadership Academy (Kernersville, NC).
The Wolves (9-10) will now prepare for their test against Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC). The Knights come into the non-league test with a 1-8 record. In their last test, Gray Stone Day went down by Union Academy (Monroe, NC), 64-20, in a league test.
