The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Eastern View Cyclones (Culpeper, VA) and the host Spotsylvania Knights (Spotsylvania, VA), observed Eastern View's basketball team knock off Spotsylvania by a score of 40-27.

The Cyclones (2-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Courtland (Spotsylvania, VA). The Cougars come into the Battlefield challenge with a 6-5 record. In their last challenge, Courtland was knocked off by Westmoreland (Montross, VA), 43-41, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Knights encounter the James Monroe Yellow Jackets (Fredericksburg, VA) in a Battlefield challenge, on Friday, January 17. Spotsylvania will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the challenge with a 10-0 record after their 81-37 league win over Courtland (Spotsylvania, VA).
