The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Example Academy Eagles (Frankfort, IL) and the visiting SPIRE Academy SPIRE (Geneva, OH), observed Example Academy's basketball team knock off SPIRE Academy by a score of 48-36.

The Eagles (7-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Lutheran West (Rocky River, OH). The Longhorns go into the non-league bout with a 6-8 record. In their last bout, Lutheran West was beaten by Trinity (Garfield Heights, OH), 61-32, in a league bout.

With the loss, SPIRE Academy falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Spire travel to Reynoldsburg (Reynoldsburg, OH) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Monday, January 20. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 7-7. Reynoldsburg lost 77-36 in their recent league bout against Pickerington Central (Pickerington, OH)
