In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting West Carter Comets basketball team scored a big 56-10 triumph over the Fairview Eagles.

The Comets (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Menifee County (Frenchburg, KY). The Wildcats go into the non-league contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Menifee County smashed Raceland (Raceland, KY), 50-41, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles confront the Rock Hill Redmen (Ironton, OH) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 17. Fairview will attempt to better on its 1-11 season record. The Redmen go into the contest with a 3-8 record after their 48-31 league loss to Chesapeake (Chesapeake, OH).
