Grenada Chargers (Grenada, MS) boosters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Rosa Fort Lions (Tunica, MS), 62-46 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Grenada upgrades its record to 9-6 on the year. The Chargers travel to Center Hill (Olive Branch, MS) to face the Mustangs in a 6A Region 1 match on Tuesday, January 21. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 8-13. Center Hill won 56-41 in their recent league match against Saltillo (Saltillo, MS)

The Lions now sport a 6-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Panola for a 3A Region 2 match on Friday, January 17. Rosa Fort will face a Cougars squad coming off a 49-44 league win over Holly Springs (Holly Springs, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 14-8.
