The Jefferson Lions basketball team scored 72 points and limited the visiting Taft Tigers to 44 in the Lions league triumph on Wednesday.

The Lions now have a 11-3 record. They play next when they travel to Amity for a 3A PacWest game on Friday, January 17. Jefferson will confront a Warriors team coming off a 68-27 league win over Willamina (Willamina, OR). The Warriors record now stands at 14-0.

With the loss, Taft falls to 11-4 on the campaign. The Tigers host Corbett (Corbett, OR) to confront the Cardinals in a non-league game on Monday, January 20. The Cardinals go into the game with a record of 6-5.
