In Wednesday's league contest, the host Western Christian Pioneers basketball team scored a good 45-27 triumph over the Kennedy Trojans.

The Pioneers (11-2) will now prepare for their contest against Santiam (Mill City, OR). The Wolverines go into the 2A Tri-River contest with a 8-6 record. In their last contest, Santiam topped Regis (Stayton, OR), 53-45, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Trojans confront the Delphian Dragons (Sheridan, OR) in a 2A Tri-River contest, on Friday, January 17. Kennedy will attempt to better on its 6-8 season record. The Dragons go into the contest with a 1-6 record after their 37-6 league loss to Colton (Colton, OR).
