Next, the Volunteers face the Mingus Marauders (Cottonwood, AZ) in a 4A Grand Canyon outing, on Friday, January 17. Lee Williams will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record. The Marauders enter the outing with a 15-3 record after their 61-42 league win over Bradshaw Mountain (Prescott Valley, AZ).

The Thunderbirds (3-8) will now prepare for their outing against Agua Fria (Avondale, AZ). The Owls enter the non-league outing with a 9-8 record. In their last outing, Agua Fria ran past Westview (Avondale, AZ), 48-21, in a league outing.
