The Wildwood Catholic Crusaders (North Wildwood, NJ) basketball edged the host Our Lady of Mercy Academy Villagers (Newfield, NJ), 57-51 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Crusaders now possess a 10-2 record. They play next when they travel to Woodbury for a non-league bout on Friday, January 17.

With the loss, Our Lady of Mercy Academy falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The Villagers host Absegami (Galloway, NJ) to play the Braves in a non-league bout on Friday, January 17. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 10-2. Absegami won 44-43 in their recent league bout against Atlantic City (Atlantic City, NJ)
