California High School Basketball - Ponderosa triumphant over Rio Americano

January 15, 2025: Shingle Springs, CA 95682

The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA) and the visiting Rio Americano Raiders (Sacramento, CA), observed Ponderosa's basketball team overwhelm Rio Americano by a score of 68-34.

The Bruins (19-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Vista del Lago (Folsom, CA). The Eagles come into the Capital Valley Conference challenge with a 6-10 record. In their last challenge, Vista del Lago was routed by Woodcreek (Roseville, CA), 54-52, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Raiders battle the Inderkum Tigers (Sacramento, CA) in a Capital Valley Conference challenge, on Friday, January 17. Rio Americano will attempt to improve on its 6-11 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 50-45 league loss to Woodcreek (Roseville, CA).
