The Monte Vista Monarchs soccer squad scored 2 points and held the host Grossmont Foothillers to 1 in the Monarchs league victory on Wednesday.
The Monarchs now hold a 3-3 record. They play next when they host Helix for a bout on Friday, January 17. Monte Vista will play a Highlanders squad coming off a 0-0 non-league Francis Parker (San Diego, CA). The Highlanders record now stands at 5-3.
With the loss, Grossmont moves to 2-7 on the year. The Foothillers travel to Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA) to play the Matadors in a Grossmont Valley bout on Friday, January 17. The Matadors go into the bout with a record of 5-5.
