In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Pomfret School Griffins ice hockey team scored a close 5-2 victory over the Winchendon Wapiti.
The Griffins (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against Millbrook School (Millbrook, NY). The Mustangs go into the non-league contest with a 8-8 record. In their last contest, Millbrook School by Kent School (Kent, CT), 5-3, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Wapiti play the Dexter Southfield (Brookline, MA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 17. Winchendon will attempt to better on its 8-10 season record. The go into the contest with a 14-2 record after their 5-0 non-league win over Brunswick School (Greenwich, CT).
