In Wednesday's league contest, the Arleta Mustangs (Arleta, CA) soccer team edged the host Poly Parrots (Sun Valley, CA), by a count of 2-1.

Next, the Mustangs battle the Grant Lancers (Van Nuys, CA) in a East Valley contest, on Friday, January 17. Arleta will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Lancers enter the contest with a 4-3 record after their 3-1 league win over Verdugo Hills (Tujunga, CA).
