L.W. Higgins Hurricanes (Marrero, LA) backers exited the stadium pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Fisher Gators (Lafitte, LA), 6-1 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, L.W. Higgins advances its record to 4-9 on the campaign. The Hurricanes travel to New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy (New Orleans, LA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Division II District 8 test on Friday, January 17. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 8-9. New Orleans Military & Maritime Academy won 4-0 in their recent league test against Belle Chasse (Belle Chasse, LA)

The Gators now have a 2-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Christ Episcopal School for a non-league test on Friday, January 17. Fisher will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Pope John Paul II (Slidell, LA). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-9.
