Akron-Fairgrove Vikings (Fairgrove, MI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Owendale-Gagetown Bulldogs (Owendale, MI), 58-14 in a league bout.

With the win, Akron-Fairgrove upgrades its record to 4-5 on the season. The Vikings travel to Carsonville-Port Sanilac (Carsonville, MI) to play the Tigers in a North Central Thumb bout on Friday, January 20. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 0-7. Carsonville-Port Sanilac lost 72-21 in their recent non-league bout against Merritt Academy (New Haven, MI)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the All Saints Central Cougars (Bay City, MI) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Owendale-Gagetown will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 73-36 non-league win over Ashley (Ashley, MI).
