The Sutherland Sailors basketball team (Sutherland, NE), was overwhelmed 65-24 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Bridgeport Bulldogs (Bridgeport, NE)

The Bulldogs now possess a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Perkins County for a D1 District 12 battle on Thursday, January 19. Bridgeport will battle a Plainsmen team coming off a 50-47 non-league win over Kimball (Kimball, NE). The Plainsmen record now stands at 8-5.

The Sailors (0-9) will now prepare for their battle against Creek Valley (Chappell, NE). The Storm come into the non-league battle with a 2-6 record. In their last battle, Creek Valley trounced Banner County (Harrisburg, NE), 62-58, in a league battle.
