The Carsonville-Port Sanilac Tigers basketball team (Carsonville, MI), was overwhelmed 72-21 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Merritt Academy Mustangs (New Haven, MI)
The Mustangs now possess a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Star International Academy for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 19. Merritt Academy will confront a Falcons team coming off a 48-37 non-league win over Taylor Prep (Taylor, MI). The Falcons record now stands at 6-2.
The Tigers (0-7) will now prepare for their battle against Akron-Fairgrove (Fairgrove, MI). The Vikings come into the North Central Thumb battle with a 4-5 record. In their last battle, Akron-Fairgrove trounced Owendale-Gagetown (Owendale, MI), 58-14, in a league battle.
