Cosby Eagles (Cosby, TN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host North Greene Huskies (Greeneville, TN), 66-61 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cosby upgrades its record to 8-8 on the season. The Eagles travel to Claiborne (New Tazewell, TN) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 3-10.

Next up, the Huskies play the Unaka Rangers (Elizabethton, TN) in a 1A District 1 bout, on Friday, January 20. North Greene will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Rangers go into the bout with a 2-12 record after their 89-65 non-league loss to Johnson County (Mountain City, TN).
