Eleanor McMain Mustangs (New Orleans, LA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Edna Karr Cougars (New Orleans, LA), 47-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Eleanor McMain upgrades its record to 4-1 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Wossman (Monroe, LA) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 17-3.

Next up, the Cougars clash with the John Curtis Christian Patriots (River Ridge, LA) in a 5A District 9 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Edna Karr will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 9-3 record after their 57-50 league win over Brother Martin (New Orleans, LA).
