Gehlen Catholic Jays (Le Mars, IA) supporters were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad wallop the visiting Woodbury Central Wildcats (Moville, IA), 83-19 in a non-league challenge.

With the victory, Gehlen Catholic improves its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Jays host West Sioux (Hawarden, IA) to play the Falcons in a War Eagle challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 8-2. West Sioux won 65-57 in their recent league challenge against South O'Brien (Paullina, IA)

Next up, the Wildcats play the West Monona Spartans (Onawa, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Woodbury Central will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record.
