Greenup County Musketeers (Greenup, KY) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host West Carter Comets (Olive Hill, KY), 77-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Greenup County upgrades its record to 5-10 on the campaign. The Musketeers travel to Lewis County (Vanceburg, KY) to play the Lions in a District 63 bout on Friday, January 20. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 3-12. Lewis County won 57-38 in their recent league bout against Raceland (Raceland, KY)

Next up, the Comets play the Rowan County Vikings (Morehead, KY) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. West Carter will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 7-9 record after their 57-40 league loss to Fleming County (Flemingsburg, KY).
