The Johnson County Longhorns (Mountain City, TN) basketball crushed the visiting Unaka Rangers (Elizabethton, TN), 89-65 in Monday's non-league test.
The Longhorns (5-8) will now prepare for their test against West Greene (Mosheim, TN). The Buffaloes go into the 2A District 1 test with a 4-9 record. In their last test, West Greene was trounced by Hampton (Hampton, TN), 75-50, in a non-league test.
The Rangers now own a 2-12 record. They play next when they host North Greene for a 1A District 1 test on Friday, January 20. Unaka will encounter a Huskies squad coming off a 66-61 non-league loss to Cosby (Cosby, TN). The Huskies record now stands at 7-7.
