Westminster Christian Academy (Lafayette, LA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays (Eunice, LA), 75-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Westminster Christian Academy upgrades its record to 3-5 on the season. The travel to Slaughter Community Charter (Slaughter, LA) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Slaughter Community Charter lost 59-29 in their recent non-league bout against Northeast (Pride, LA)

Next up, the Fighting Blue Jays play the North Central Hurricanes (Lebeau, LA) in a 1A District 6 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. St. Edmund will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Hurricanes go into the bout with a 9-9 record after their 63-57 non-league win over Rayville (Rayville, LA).
