Apollo Ridge Vikings (Spring Church, PA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Mt. Pleasant Vikings (Mt. Pleasant, PA), 60-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Apollo Ridge upgrades its record to 11-2 on the season. The Vikings travel to Springdale (Springdale, PA) to play the Dynamos in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Dynamos go into the bout with a record of 4-7. Springdale won 58-41 in their recent league bout against Steel Valley (Munhall, PA)

Next up, the Vikings play the Geibel Catholic Gators (Connellsville, PA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Mt. Pleasant will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record. The Gators go into the bout with a 8-7 record after their 44-17 league win over Jefferson-Morgan (Jefferson, PA).
