Fans at Monday's league challenge between the English Valleys Bears (North English, IA) and the host B-G-M Bears (Brooklyn, IA), saw English Valleys's basketball squad wallop B-G-M by a tally of 60-36.

With the victory, English Valleys improves its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Bears host Tri-County (Thornburg, IA) to play the Trojans in a South Iowa Cedar challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 0-12. Tri-County lost 66-29 in their recent league challenge against Montezuma (Montezuma, IA)

Next up, the Bears play the Iowa Valley Tigers (Marengo, IA) in a South Iowa Cedar challenge, on Thursday, January 19. B-G-M will attempt to improve on its 3-8 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 8-5 record after their 37-30 league loss to Sigourney (Sigourney, IA).
