Alabama High School Basketball - Central of Clay County thwarts Randolph County

The Central of Clay County Volunteers (Lineville, AL) basketball knocked off the visiting Randolph County Tigers (Wedowee, AL), 41-23 in Monday's non-league test.
The Volunteers (10-9) will now prepare for their test against Handley (Roanoke, AL). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 9-2 record. In their last test, Handley notched a victory over Callaway (Hogansville, GA), 42-38, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now own a 2-9 record. They play next when they travel to Horseshoe Bend for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 17. Randolph County will encounter a Generals squad coming off a 51-46 non-league loss to Central of Clay County (Lineville, AL). The Generals record now stands at 2-6.
