Mt. Pulaski Hilltoppers (Mt. Pulaski, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL), 60-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mt. Pulaski upgrades its record to 18-6 on the season. The Hilltoppers travel to Illini Bluffs (Glasford, IL) to play the Tigers in a Tomahawk bout on Thursday, January 19. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 16-8. Illini Bluffs lost 58-48 in their recent non-league bout against Lewistown (Lewistown, IL)

Next up, the Maroons face the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans (Maroa, IL) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, January 18. Clinton will attempt to move on its 11-12 season record. The Trojans enter the game with a 13-10 record after their 53-37 non-league loss to Tuscola (Tuscola, IL).
