Groton Tigers (Groton, SD) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Langford Lions (Langford, SD), 45-16 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Groton upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Milbank (Milbank, SD) to play the Bulldogs in a A Region 1 bout on Thursday, January 19. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 6-4. Milbank won 46-41 in their recent league bout against Waubay/Summit (Waubay, SD)

Next up, the Lions play the Waverly/South Shore Coyotes (Waverly, SD) in a B Region 1 bout, on Thursday, January 19. Langford will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Coyotes come into the bout with a 1-8 record after their 49-12 non-league loss to Great Plains Lutheran (Watertown, SD).
