The McDonald Blue Devils basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Heartland Christian Lions to 27 in the Blue Devils non-league triumph on Monday.

The Blue Devils now have a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mineral Ridge for a Mahoning Valley - Scarlet game on Thursday, January 19. McDonald will face a Rams team coming off a 46-45 non-league win over LaBrae (Leavittsburg, OH). The Rams record now stands at 7-8.

With the defeat, Heartland Christian moves to 2-11 on the year. The Lions travel to Edison (Richmond, OH) to face the Wildcats in a non-league game on Thursday, January 19. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 4-9. Edison lost 55-32 in their recent league game against Catholic Central (Steubenville, OH)
