Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Tiverton Tigers (Tiverton, RI), 47-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Mt. Hope upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Huskies host Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI) to clash with the Chargers in a Division 2 bout on Thursday, January 19. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 6-3. Chariho won 40-26 in their recent league bout against Coventry (Coventry, RI)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Woonsocket Villa Novans (Woonsocket, RI) in a Division 2 bout, on Wednesday, January 18. Tiverton will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Villa Novans go into the bout with a 1-8 record after their 50-24 league loss to Smithfield (Esmond, RI).
