Pembroke Spartans (Pembroke, NH) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Stark Generals (Weare, NH), 58-54 in a league bout.

With the victory, Pembroke upgrades its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Souhegan (Amherst, NH) to play the Sabers in a Division II bout on Friday, January 20. The Sabers come into the bout with a record of 0-3.

Next up, the Generals play the Hollis-Brookline Cavaliers (Hollis, NH) in a Division II bout, on Friday, January 20. Stark will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 48-5 league win over Pembroke (Pembroke, NH).
