In Monday's league outing, the Springdale Dynamos (Springdale, PA) basketball squad beat the visiting Steel Valley Ironmen (Munhall, PA), by a count of 58-41.
The Dynamos (4-7) will now prepare for their outing against Apollo Ridge (Spring Church, PA). The Vikings come into the non-league challenge with a 11-2 record.
Next up, the Ironmen play the Serra Catholic Eagles (McKeesport, PA) in a WPIAL 2A 3 challenge, on Thursday, January 19. Steel Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-13 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 9-2 record after their 49-18 league win over Ellis (Pittsburgh, PA).
