Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA), 42-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Carroll County upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Cavaliers host Floyd County (Floyd, VA) to clash with the Buffaloes in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Buffaloes go into the bout with a record of 3-6.

Next up, the Blue Devils clash with the Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Grayson County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record. The Pioneers go into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 33-28 non-league loss to George Wythe (Wytheville, VA).
