California High School Soccer - Highlands knocks off Golden Sierra

Highlands Scots (North Highlands, CA) fans were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the visiting Golden Sierra Grizzlies (Garden Valley, CA), 6-2 in a league challenge.
Next, the Scots confront the Esparto Spartans (Esparto, CA) in a Sierra Delta League challenge, on Wednesday, January 18. Highlands will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 8-4 record after their 1-0 league win over Encina Prep (Sacramento, CA).
The Grizzlies now have a 5-9 record. They take the field next when they host Encina Prep for a Sierra Delta League challenge on Wednesday, January 18. Golden Sierra will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 10-1 league win over Vacaville Christian (Vacaville, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-3.
