Appling Christian Academy Eagles (Baxley, GA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Lighthouse Christian (Valdosta, GA), 2-0 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Appling Christian Academy upgrades its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Eagles host Peoples Baptist Academy (McDonough, GA) to play the Knights in a GCAA Region IV bout on Friday, January 19. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 2-7. Peoples Baptist Academy lost 87-52 in their recent non-league bout against Trinity Christian School of Griffin (Griffin, GA)
