The Belton-Honea Path Bears basketball team (Honea Path, SC), was nudged 71-68 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Southside Tigers (Greenville, SC)
The Tigers now possess a 8-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fountain Inn for a AAA Region 2 battle on Friday, January 19. Southside will confront a Fury team coming off a 62-47 league win over Palmetto (Williamston, SC). The Fury record now stands at 12-8.
The Bears (11-8) will now prepare for their battle against Wren (Piedmont, SC). The Hurricanes come into the AAA Region 2 battle with a 14-5 record. In their last battle, Wren edged Powdersville (Greenville, SC), 71-65, in a league battle.
