The Ely Timberwolves basketball team scored 63 points and held the host Bigfork Huskies to 47 in the Timberwolves non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Timberwolves now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mountain Iron-Buhl for a A Section 7 contest on Thursday, January 18. Ely will meet a Rangers team coming off a 71-70 non-league win over Greenway (Coleraine, MN). The Rangers record now stands at 8-2.
The Huskies (2-11) will now prepare for their contest against Fond du Lac Ojibwe Ogichida (Cloquet, MN). The Ogichida enter the A Section 7 contest with a 2-9 record. In their last contest, Fond du Lac Ojibwe Ogichida was defeated by North Woods (Cook, MN), 88-76, in a league contest.
