The Military Magnet Academy Eagles basketball team (North Charleston, SC), was nudged 44-42 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Burke Bulldogs (Charleston, SC)
The Bulldogs now possess a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Charleston Math & Science for a A Region 8 battle on Friday, January 19. Burke will battle a Riptide team coming off a 89-33 league win over Lowcountry Leadership (Hollywood, SC). The Riptide record now stands at 9-7.
The Eagles (3-14) will now prepare for their battle against St. John's (John's Island, SC). The Islanders come into the A Region 8 battle with a 5-11 record. In their last battle, St. John's edged Palmetto Scholars Academy (North Charleston, SC), 49-44, in a league battle.
