With the win, Cardinal Newman upgrades its record to 14-5 on the season. The Crusaders travel to Inlet Grove (Riviera Beach, FL) to clash with the Hurricanes in a 3A District 8 bout on Friday, January 19. The Hurricanes go into the bout with a record of 10-6. Inlet Grove won 72-52 in their recent non-league bout against Boynton Beach (Boynton Beach, FL)

Next up, the Spartans clash with the Greenacres Christian Panthers (Greenacres, FL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 18. Somerset College Prep Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 77-40 league win over Varsity Opponent (, ).
