The Chaney Cowboys basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the visiting East to 50 in the Cowboys league victory on Tuesday.
The Cowboys now sport a 3-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Academy for Urban Scholars for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 23. Chaney will battle a Hawks team coming off a 56-44 non-league win over Southern (Salineville, OH). The Hawks record now stands at 2-12.
The (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Ursuline (Youngstown, OH). The Fighting Irish come into the Steel Valley contest with a 10-2 record. In their last contest, Ursuline prevailed over Farrell (Farrell, PA), 78-45, in a non-league match.
