The Tempe Buffaloes basketball team (Tempe, AZ), was nudged 64-61 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Coronado Dons (Scottsdale, AZ)

The Dons now sport a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dysart for a 4A Black Canyon battle on Thursday, January 18. Coronado will battle a Demons team coming off a 74-56 league win over Cortez (Phoenix, AZ). The Demons record now stands at 16-3.

The Buffaloes (7-14) will now prepare for their battle against Vista Grande (Casa Grande, AZ). The Spartans come into the 4A Black Canyon battle with a 4-14 record. In their last battle, Vista Grande edged Apache Junction (Apache Junction, AZ), 71-37, in a league battle.
