In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Montevideo Thunderhawks (Montevideo, MN) basketball squad edged the visiting Dawson-Boyd Blackjacks (Dawson, MN), by a count of 77-72.
The Thunderhawks (9-5) will now prepare for their outing against Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta (Morris, MN). The Tigers go into the AA Section 3 outing with a 9-3 record. In their last outing, Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta held off Benson (Benson, MN), 72-27, in a non-league outing.
The Blackjacks now hold a 15-1 record. They play next when they travel to Renville County West for a A Section 3 outing on Friday, January 19. Dawson-Boyd will clash with a Jaguars squad coming off a 73-67 non-league loss to B O L D (Olivia, MN). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-11.
