Eufaula Tigers (Eufaula, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Smiths Station Panthers (Smiths, AL), 68-63 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Eufaula upgrades its record to 15-6 on the season. The Tigers travel to Headland (Headland, AL) to play the Rams in a 5A Area 3 bout on Friday, January 19. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 6-9. Headland lost 68-55 in their recent league bout against Rehobeth (Dothan, AL)

Next up, the Panthers play the Opelika Bulldogs (Opelika, AL) in a 7A Area 4 bout, on Friday, January 19. Smiths Station will attempt to upgrade on its 7-13 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 10-11 record after their 65-61 league loss to Auburn (Auburn, AL).
