The Fairmont Golden Tornadoes (Fairmont, NC) basketball felled the host Midway Raiders (Dunn, NC), 69-52 in Tuesday's league test.
The Golden Tornadoes (10-3) will now prepare for their test against St. Pauls (St. Pauls, NC). The Bulldogs go into the 2A Southeastern test with a 7-8 record. In their last test, St. Pauls was beaten by Red Springs (Red Springs, NC), 54-38, in a league test.
The Raiders now own a 9-3 record. They play next when they host West Bladen for a 2A Southeastern test on Friday, January 19. Midway will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 57-22 league win over Clinton (Clinton, NC). The Knights record now stands at 12-1.
